Didn't they do an experiment with glasses that flipped people's vision and after a few weeks their brain corrected for it and their vision was normal again. Then they took off the glasses and all screamed because their regular vision was now upside down. Brains are weird.

Exactly that. All the noise inside goes quiet for a little while. I'm glad you have art to do that for you.

Oh mine is a trauma response. 😅 The world goes quiet when I'm painting something that small. The focus is meditation for me. Painting the eyes onto a tiny person 28mm tall when I'm 6'5" and 300lbs means I have to paint between heartbeats. I'm not sure I have any discernable skill though. 😅
