Service Dogs are Medically Necessary:
SD's are medically necessary & allowed anywhere medical equipment is allowed. It's important to treat SD's w/ the respect they've earned. Don’t touch, talk to, pet, photograph, video, or otherwise engage w/ our k9 partners.

Service Dogs are Loved:
Please don’t tell us you “feel sorry” for our Service Dogs because they have to work all the time. They're incredibly loved & they do, in fact, enjoy “time off” to just be a dog. They get treats, they get to play, or do nothing if they want.

Not All Service Dogs Are The Same:
SD's can be any breed, size, & can be for any disability. Fake SD's are common, and they do a lot of damage to legitimate teams. Please don’t judge our well-trained SD's based on poorly behaved fake ones. Behavior tells all!

Handlers Don’t Always Want to Answer Questions:
Sometimes, handlers just want to run a quick errand & go home, just like you. Don’t be offended if a handler is slightly short or dodges your questions. They’re mostly personal questions anyway & shouldn’t be asked.

Medical History Is Private:
Don’t ask hanlders about their diagnosis, or try to guess the reason they have a Service Dog, or ask them to disclose their private medical history. Making inquiries about personal information is uncalled for, very invasive and rude.

Service Dogs are Lifelines:
Depending on the handler's disability, distracting their S.D. could possibly mean their death if they aren't able to respond appropriately. And it would be YOUR fault. Please just ignore them entirely. Let S.D.'s focus on their job.

Service Dogs are Working:
When you see SD's & their handlers out in public, they need to be left alone. Please don’t distract them by calling to or whistling at them, touching them or their equipment, or stare the service dogs down. Just politely ignore them.
