This is in one of the stairwells at my school. It’s a piece of cheese that has melted onto a radiator. I don’t know why but it seems like a perfect visual metaphor for life right now. Aren’t we all in a weird place we don’t belong and didn’t ask to be and just slowly melting into oblivion?

This is getting more and more Orwellian.
We passed bill in committee yesterday that felonizes elected officials if they vote against Trump’s immigration policy. Let that sink in. Duly elected officials will go to jail- we’ll have a criminal record - if they do not vote for and support Trump’s policies. Republicans in the Tennessee Senate just passed a bill making local elected officials subject to felony charges and up to 6 years in prison simply for casting a vote at odds with Trump’s immigration enforcement policies. That’s a dangerous break from American law and tradition.
