I won't lie I really liked adventure time for a long while and I still do, sorta. But with Fionna and Cake it really seems like the formula —50% bullshit, 50% something interesting— has been titrated to 90% BS.

For context, finally watched ruin explorers, been on my bucket list of anime to watch for the art style alone. Solid adventure story with a number of fun moments.

Kinda don't ever wanna do a massive illustration again.
I only did it because I thought it might broaden my appeal– and while I got some very kind words from people about it (which I'm thankful for)– can't help but notice it failed to do the one thing it was meant to.

For the longest time I thought I was good drawing hands. Until I realized I was subconsciously avoiding harder poses.
Foreshortening, hand gestures while facing forward, hands on face.... positions its hard to look at your own hands as refs... they're still kicking my ass D:
