My grandpa never talks about his side of the family. I'd never heard more than them being Progressive Jews (said with a disdain coming from a now conservative family). Finding direct quotes from her makes me feel like how I turned out makes SO much more sense. And I CAN be meaner.

As an eldest daughter with a lot of childhood and generational trauma that held me back from really finding myself until I was older, I feel so seen and it feels so good to have media that's like "hey, its ok if youre still figuring it out after 23".
