Yup, there’s definitely a number of people on the left who are more concerned with holding court over ashes than they are with building anything of substance.

Humour is one of those things where the number of things that people find funny is so diverse. And often wrong. Like often very very wrong. Like I don’t understand why some people find things very funny… I’m not saying this is one of those things… I’m also not saying it’s not. Because it is.

One thing to keep in mind, and I'm not saying this is a for sure thing. You don't know why that person hates the pope or all popes. You know how kids don't always tell you why they're acting out? Because the horror of the truth would be deeply embarassing? Anger is much easier than vulnerability.

So many people talking about the new Pope. Everyone's excited. But as somebody with a Church Ministries degree. I'm just like... yay a new person to catch headlines while never trying to deal with the systemic problems of clergy sexual abuse both of children and adults.
