They also have different chromosomes The Cope's is diploid, While the Eastern is tetraploid. And to make things even more confusing, they can also be green. A very cool frog, one of my favorites.

It is a Gray Tree Frog. There are two identical ones the Cope's Gray and Eastern Gray. You can really only tell them apart by their calls. The Eastern Gray (Hyla versicolor) has a slower sounding trill call and Cope's (Hyla chrysoscelis) has a faster trill.
