If he’s a DP that can’t be bought down, I don’t like this deal. If he can, adds flexibility for more signings. Waiting for confirmation on this until we get the full picture. Still not sure why you give him a raise after his play regressed.

I assumed that when they announced his extension. No need to announce as a TAM since we don’t have the need for it right now. When that time comes, he will be bought down. If that’s not the case, that’s mismanagement for a team that needs proper DPs to compete.

Just happy to see them spend money on players. If they can shore up the back line with U22, then that means DP and TAM spots are attackers and MFs. Lots of work still to be done, but this is a strong start.

Nilsson probably should have been bought out last year. Unfortunately he’s too injury prone and counting on him to be a starter wasn’t a good decision.

The inability to buy out player contracts isn’t helping either. Nilsson and Alm have shown to be too injury prone to contribute. Nilsson is a TAM player that’s wasting a quality roster spot because of his bad luck with injuries. We should have moved on last year.
