This is a strawman. 4chan is a forum almost entirely dedicated to right wing culture at this point and is not widely used by the general public. Everyone is still on Twitter, and they are not leaving, and they’re not going to leave.

Then why are Newsom’s tweets mocking Trump’s style getting news coverage? Why did Twitter have an impact on Mamdani’s campaign?

The fact that the enemy controls the most used platform of discussion on the Internet is all the more reason to take up space there!

Also to be clear like, if progressives/leftists started leaving Twitter en masse that’s just ceding territory in the public square. There’s no amount of boycott that can truly eat into its cultural impact so choosing to leave is a strategic misstep anyway.

Anyone could be kidnapped by a bunch of masked dudes in a van and it would appear indistinguishable to bystanders to how ICE is arresting people.

We crossed the rubicon of fascism long ago, but this is just a recipe for unimaginable chaos.

Do not get it twisted. Matthew Yglesias and his utterly incompetent ideology which has run rampant through the Democratic Party are objectively responsible for Trump, and thus responsible for the dictatorship we are on the precipice of being under the boot of.

The now twice election of Donald Trump is a now twice condemnation of the Democrats’ utterly failed policy. The left has offered them an out over and over and over again but taking billionaires’ money is evidently more important.

After unchecked corporate consolidation, a housing crisis, and stagnant wages? Good healthcare impossible to access, unions impossible to form, WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU FUCKING EXPECT WHEN YOU “LET THE POLITICIANS HANDLE THE POLICY” AND THIS IS THE RESULT?
April 21, 2025 at 4:21 AM
Fascists get elected when people’s economic needs are consistently neglected, so what can we possibly expect will happen after three recessions in two decades with the Democrats gaslighting the public into thinking everything is fine?
April 21, 2025 at 4:21 AM
Matthew Yglesias has to be like, the dumbest fucking liberal alive. His head is so thick you could not fire a bullet through it, there is no level of real world events or data that could possibly convince him that the consistently losing stance he holds could possibly be flawed.
April 21, 2025 at 4:11 AM
There is not a fucking word of “I told you so” I want to hear from the Democrats. They failed America over and over and over again, they took the corporations’ money, let them dominate the people, and sat by and did fucking nothing when Trump rose. This is their fault as much as anyone else’s.
April 17, 2025 at 7:21 AM
If you cannot look at the 2024 election and see that economic conditions caused the large swing towards Trump, you should pivot into being Jim Kramer because then at least people can consistently make bets about you being wrong about everything
