No I do get it. We disagree on that being the case. Conceptually I’m with you I don’t believe it applies in the case of the current WWE company. It’s clear you disagree and that’s okay. I’ll wrap up by saying read the OG post. That’s what I took some exception to…not any of this other stuff.

I can promise I’m not lacking an understanding of your point. Not believing a wrestling company can be fascist, regardless of the founder is a perfectly viable belief, if not one you agree with.

This conversation isn’t on track to be productive but I’ll try. I don’t blame any company that works with government for the policies of a nation. Nor a roster of totally different people. As for crimes I hope, unlikely given our corrupt president, for justice for the people who have come forward.

A bar is a building with beer. It can’t be anything but a building. The bartender could be evil, so could some patrons. The broad brush is nifty until it is used on federal worker for example. Companies can’t be evil or good only the people can. I don’t believe everyone working or watching is evil.

That’s a bold accusation that their are active crimes in the company but I hope you come forward with the evidence needed because despite my being a WWE fan, I don’t excuse or condone that vile sort of criminality.

Ultimately depends on whether or not I believe the bar is evil or a person in said bar is evil. There is no purely ethical consumerism. It’s impossible. So is supporting WWE making the world a worse place? I’d wager no it’s not. Shad Khan helped pay for the Trump inaugural, doesn’t make AEW “evil”

Honestly you actually nailed the point. I’d quibble that most WWE fans old enough to know now weren’t old enough to know back then, but the rest is correct. Enjoying WWE doesn’t make you MAGA. Proclamations of the contrary are ways to divide up good and bad fans, or gatekeeping like I said.

What makes a bad pro-wrestler? He usually executes his limited moves without issue. He’s had multiple successful angles over his career, gets reactions on the mic, has massive audience support, and makes his promotion money. I can’t think of any definition of pro-wrestler that supports him as bad.

Ahhhh so it’s found a place on here too? Damn I had hoped the cordial nature of this app would scare the gatekeepers and purists away. Also Battle of the Billionaires was money, not our fault they were both secret sex pests and eventual Nazi’s 🤷🤷‍♂️

My thoughts exactly although I will say Hogan has done all of his nonsense as Hulk Hogan. Undertaker and Triple H don’t mix the personal with the persona where as Hogan has been doing the Hulkster for decades, using it to push his agenda and sell whatever shifty product he’s invested in.

I think reasons 1-10 ought to just be that they have the momentum of an oncoming Amtrak train and Texas beat ASU by having better luck with the shoddy officiating than ASU did (it was bad for both sides). Interesting read though.

In fairness it’s not just them…this has a lot of coverage in the main stream and it’s all MAGA stuff and Los Angeles crowds. I’m sure that plays a role in this but it’s not THE reason. It’s missing the forest for the trees. He’s a shitty dude and has been forever.

That makes one of us. Fans aren’t going to ever get behind Paul. He, unfortunately has his uses…but if the company is built on him it’s gonna morph into something unrecognizable.

Hulk Hogan Booed Out of The Building on WWE Monday Night Raw...Its About Time
Fans old and new saw Hulk Hogan booed out of the building during his Netflix debut. A historic Raw meaning a lot for wrestling, but not Hogan.
