Cities and Counties wouldn’t be in a lot of the situations they are in if the state house would keep their fingers out of local funding. Maybe stop taking money away from the local government to fund State Corporate Tax cuts.

Let’s not forget about our Teachers. $43500. That breaks down to $20.91 if it’s done as a 40 hour week, year round pay check. For someone who is responsible for educating our children and preparing them to be the future leaders of this world…

I know I am excited to have Rob as our next Governor. But we also need to remember that we need to give him a House and Senate that will work with him and not against to accomplish his goals.

If only the IaLegis hadn’t taken minimum wage out of the hands of City Councils and County Supervisors. Some places could have made a dent in raising wages. We could have made it a gradual increase, but now it really needs to be $15/hr statewide. Give control back to Cities/Counties.

Make someone’s day a little brighter. Random acts of kindness are more important to me than objects. Give to those in the service industry. They work hard and deserve it. Servers, cashiers, hell even the garbage person.
If my friends and family all did this, it would make the world a better place.

They spend so much, they are trying to find ways to take from cities and counties now. We need someone who is going to stop the hemorrhage of money and help Iowans live better lives.

The Iowa House and Senate have forgotten who pays the bills in this state. This state had a budget surplus at one time. And now, they are spending more every year and taking more from citizens. Their reckless spending and tax cuts for big business is hurting hard working Iowans. We need to fix it.
