I'm fairly certain the hotel room I'm in for the next 2 weeks is haunted as hell. Plus the front chain lock is broken.

But it's the largest, cleanest, and most comfortable room I've had since February.

So, you know. Fair trade offs.

This is Penny, who just chased a black bear out of her backyard. I went out to see why she was barking, flipped on the light, stepped outside, and when I saw the fully grown new furry friend she was facing down I tried to call her in. She charged and the bear fled over the fence.

This tastes like drinking gummy candy and I love it. My headmate Scarlett absolutely detests it and makes her opinion known every time I have a sip of it. She has promised that if I buy another 12 pack of it she will buy a flamethrower and use it on the 12 pack. I'm not sure how serious she is.

My new tattoo. It's still fresh so it needs to heal a bit and the colors still need to settle but I'm exceedingly happy with it.
The word "Meaningful" tattooed on my forearm, done in rainbow colors in a paint-splatter style.

I got so many compliments on my shirt at Pride yesterday! <3 My eye makeup got some attention too, which was a really nice surprise.

One of my socks is a rainbow and the other is checker colors. I have a belt on, a bracelet in the non-binary colors, and I'm holding a baseball bat wrapped in rainbow colors with a black handle. My eyes look a little crooked because of bruising from my new piercing but I'm definitely smiling.

Tumblr post by LifeAfterPsychiatry: Make sure you don't accidentally punish people for communicating their needs and boundaries. When someone cares enough to have the uncomfortable conversation, that's a compliment and a clear sign that they are invested in the relationship. Yes of course it's uncomfortable to hear that something you've been doing has been upsetting someone you care about when that was never your intention, but people generally only bother to have these conversations with the people they want to keep around - the people they trust to care. If they just didn't like you, they'd probably just try to avoid you. So make sure you don't make it into a more punishing experience than it has to be. Try to see the care and the trust behind the criticism, even when it triggers uncomfortable emotions. It's a good sign that they're there telling you.

This is the direction I took my snake.

I'm teaching myself to paint. I made this and it makes me happy.

Facebook post from Miah Fargo: Just woke up from a dream where I had a massive crush on someone (I was "so in love") who was actively homicidal against me. My response to this when it was pointed out? "Oh, everyone has flaws! What are you going to do? Aren't they quirky and amazing?!" It ended with the vague feeling of "This has been your love life." My therapist, after hearing about my in-patient stay at the local mental ward, apologized to me on behalf of the therapy community and told me that it genuinely sounded like a stay in a mental ward from the 1950s, minus physical abuse and after our session sent me an email:
Text reads: Thank you very much for this note, (name erased)! I genuinely appreciate your flexibility! I also appreciate you sharing your experiences today. I am glad that you are able to see your progress, resilience, and how far you have come - such a progress marker. Take care, and I will send your upcoming appointments soon!
