It feels pointless to critique the booking in #AEW atm because it ain't gonna change. They desperately need change in creative - a booker, or something. At the moment it just feels like "well, we put on better wrestling (which is true) so the storylines don't really matter."

Revisiting Primal Scream's "Give Out But Don't Give Up" - you can understand why everyone farted on it when it was released, but it's actually not a bad record...it's just not a great Primal Scream album, if that makes sense. I guess people were expecting "Screamadelica" Part 2...

The new Tortoise album is fine, but it sounds as if it could have been made in 1998 - I love TNT, it's one of my favourite albums ever, so I'm fine with it - but it does literally sound like a series of outtakes from that record

Listening to the new Cate Le Bon album - people rave about her, but to me, she just sounds like Jane Weaver - which is fine, I like Jane Weaver, but if we're going to mark out about Cate, then we need to do the same about Jane surely?

There's a old saying that while an individual person can be clever, people collectively are generally stupid. I find this to be entirely accurate: give a decision to any kind of large collective, and chances are they'll fuck it up. This, in a nutshell, is the problem with democracy
