About to finish a draft of a book I needed to split because of length. I'm happy I did though, because it's given the characters room to breathe and fill out the world. Then onto the next project!

It's taken almost a decade to get here, but this fall I will have a full SECTION of Programming 1 students. For context, I teach in a very small rural school, class sizes are about 50 students. Typically I have maybe 3-5 students take programming as their tech course independently. SUPER PUMPED!!

The school year is nearly done. I'm already eagerly looking forward to next year. Especially with the new AI course I get to reach. In the meantime, I'm busy planning my project based CS Externship activity. Plus, I get the added bonus of hosting a Planetarium event next week at the school!

In my quest to find comparable titles, I was recommended The Justice of Kings. I can definitely see some of the similarities and was pleased with the read. 8/10

I want off this timeline. I remember when I enlisted, I did so with a sense of patriotic pride. Now? Ugh. We are burning bridges with long time allies and economic partners for what?

It's not much, but hitting 100 subs feels like a milestone for my teaching.

I finished the first book of the #WheelofTime today. I can see why people like this book. This has so many good things going for it. I love the characters, the world building, the consequences and payoffs. There's a bit of pacing where things could have been cut, but still a great read.

Well, RIP Jimmy Carter. 100 years is a long time to leave such a legacy.

I cannot state enough how much I value the feedback of my writing peers to hold me accountable to become a better writer.

I will easily admit that I am terrible at posting regularly online. That said, I do want to get better at it.

As someone who lives in a very rural area, I have very strong feelings about the post office remaining a public service. It isn't a business. The priority shouldn't be profits, but people.

One of the exciting things about being a CS teacher is that my job is *always* changing. I'm hoping to bring an AI course to my students that will teach them skills to utilize artificial intelligence in an ethical setting.

Going to be a busy next few months as Robotics season is starting to fire on all cylinders.

So glad to have running water again after 3 days. The well and pump were acting up. Thankfully my parents only live 10mins away, so we were able to shower. Still, I pity those who don't have access to clean, running water.

I just keep watching endorsement after endorsement come in for Harris. And now none other than Harrison Ford has spoken out? When you are against Indiana Jones and Han Solo, you might be the bad guy.

We are a week out from Election Day. A friendly reminder to go vote! While I'll be voting in person, take advantage of any early voting you can. We can do this. #Vote
