Ultimately, the republicans, the oligarch's or the system itself are not the problem. It's half the "we the people" who actively or passively want the fascism they are getting, and given the chance, they will put it back in again.

There's simply nowhere left to cut costs without losing votes. The country runs at a loss. Any lever you pull, causes some other aspect of the system to fall over. They all talk about a surplus, but they know it can't be done.

I'll never understand the point of posting bait or showing your ignorance, then blocking replies. Especially when the comment (like this one) is so intensely and obviously stupid. Do they know they are being rediculous and don't care, or are they ignorant? What do they hope to gain? Humans are odd.

And yes, there are big differences. Being slapped or choked in porn is actually happening. It's not fake like a horror movie. But it's also legal in the UK for two women to beat each other senseless in an MMA ring. Those head injuries are fine, and you can go watch it live and cheer as they bleed

The UK has regulated horror movies, and you can watch a woman get stabbed to death at a cinema. Hostel II, for example. Apparently, this is just good entertainment. I mean, what regular person doesn't enjoy a night at the movies watching women slowly killed while screaming?

The LA protests have given Trump exactly what he wanted. He's shown:
His willingness to deploy troops.
That the military will do what he asks.
That states can't stop him.
That democrats can't stop him, and republicans won't.
This entire thing is a huge win for him and the project 2025 crew.

There's a lot of talk about the retrofit costs for Trumps 747 bribe. They could offset this by limiting it to US airspace etc. None of which addresses the security risks of taking a jet that a foreign country had full access to. How could you ever trust it wasn't riddled with surveillance equipment.

People and the press need to stop waving the polling data around. Trump doesn't give a fuck about the polling. 1) He's just going to lie and say everyone loves him. 2) You only need to care if you intend to be re-elected or care about your party. He doesn't, in either case.
