Look at what I got in my mail today! Nearly all of the Tyranid half of the Leviathan box!
There is going to be a lot of clipping sprues and building 'nids!

Here it is, as promised; my first "finished" Warhammer model! 🎉
I'm really happy with how this lil' guy turned out! I tried to do OSL here as well to moderate success. I want to get better at soft blending since I have no airbrush.
They need a base, but I need to get basing materials first.

Hello!
To those who follow me because I paint miniatures:
First off, Thank you!
Second, I'm going to post some of my older artwork, witch in no way is connected to either model painting or Warhammer, but I once I've done that I'm gonna post my first finished Warhammer mini!

I had no specific goal in mind for the paint job of this goblin, except trying to do nmm on his spear head, which I didn't quite manage, but I'm still happy with the way his skin is shaded, and the striped pants came out pretty clean.

Bluesky is open, quote one art to promote yourself.

I spent 8 hours straight on this model last year and it may still be the most effort I've exerted to paint a model, and I think it paid off!

The base was made way later. Just a few weeks ago, in fact. And it is the first base I've ever done.

So In a way, this guy is my first finished model haha!

This arachne was the biggest model I had painted at that point. Unfortunately it was missing an arm, so I used greenstuff to fill the hole that was left. My paint job was decent, but I feel like my color choices were kind of bland.

This magical frog man was another big, educational failure. I tried two things on this model. Blending from one color to the next, and a glow effect. The blending of reds and oranges on the skin came out pretty decent, but the glow effect completely destroyed the model. Can't win em all!

This was my first experience with freehand painting! I gave this rouge some striped pants.

I don't have a lot to say about this archer to be honest. I struggled with the face again but this time it came out cleaner I think. And I got to use my blue paint!

I'd say this barbarian was my first flop. I was not prepared to try to paint skin or a human face. I also struggled with getting the nuln oil to work with me.
Overall this was a good learning experience, but the model itself is gonna live in the drawer.

This is the second model I painted. A wareboar (I thought it was a warerat at the time) I was a lot more adventurous with this one, playing with mixing in different colors in the fur. The clothes also added a lot to the complexity. I remember this took me a while!

This was my very first painted model. I think it may be a DnD druid as a wild shaped bear. I'm happy that I started here since painting a whole model in one color was hard to mess up!
