From 2020. I was so frustrated with this painting when I finished that I didn't share it much. But now as I look back at some work from that time, I'm happy to find I was maybe a bit overly-self-critical. 😅

Chimeric creatures are always fun for me to illustrate, and here are two versions of an owl/squirrel critter from a few years back.

Here's an old watercolor of a feisty little snapdragon.
A watercolor illustration of what appears at first to be a relatively normal snapdragon flower, but closer inspection reveals that it is actually a creature with the flowers forming multiple heads, and some of the leaves and roots becoming limbs and tails.

Welp. I have a tendency to adopt very early, but lurk... more so lurking over the last 4-ish years.

I'm not sure what I want out of posting on social media anymore, so I just tend to cheer from the sidelines whenever I can check in. I'm glad to see people thriving on BlueSky, though!

I did actually make an owl/chipmunk before the chipmouse! A tiny little little one with big ears — I guess the hybridization caused some strange results. :)
