Hello world❤️. Meet Easter. He is about 3 days old based upon his umbilical cord status and weight. The finder attempted into the night to reunite with mamma. She didn’t show.
Easter = the day he came to us.
He will be ear tagged and on a special feeding schedule. He is NOT a pet.

Update on the 1 day old baby Rock squirrel: in 10 days she has now more than doubled her weight. Unfortunately her siblings did not make it, due to internal injuries.

This is what determination looks like. This little boy is the runt of the litter and was most probably left behind bc he’s soo tiny. He’s still perfect. He lost some fur from the stress, but we’re working on getting him better.

We just took in 3 more baby possums. ❤️ One of the babies had fly strike (fly eggs) on him. Everyone was given a once over and treated for parasites. They are now nursing from a surrogate mamma that came in with 7 babies of her own. #wildlife #nature #wildliferehab #possum #vegan #kimdnesmatters

Having a tug of war with the tube. Possums do not have the suckling reflexes the same as kittens. It is for this reason that it’s really important that you contact a licensed rehabber if you find a baby possums. If mom is nowhere in sight, the baby is an ORPHAN. #wildlife #possum #nature #gotmilk

We have decided to call her Minnie Mouse. She’s perfect! I believe she was rejected due to her left eye not developing properly. Her left eye is a barely there eye socket filled with an underdeveloped eye. She is starting to clean herself and now licks the formula off her little fingers. #wildlife

Today was a busy possum day. Over the past 2 days we have received 4 calls about injured or orphaned possums. This young lady weighs 20g and was found in the mud. Thank goodness a dog sniffed her out.

If only all babies fell asleep this fast. And he continues to provide me with daily smiles and happiness. Today he weighed in at 96g. For those that have been following us the past 4 weeks: when he came in, he was a pinky, weighing 18g. Very soon we will need lots of juvenile squirrel snackies.
