grew up with the skyline of Los Angeles dominating my horizon. The City of Angels seemed to be the place I was destined to live but somehow never arrived at.
LA is such a cool city. It’s massive and diverse and beautiful. The city is viscerally beautiful and the weather is glorious.

I do agree that every ounce of mitigation matters in the end but honestly it is truly over. We’ve proven ourselves too avaricious and stupid as a species to pull out of this climate nose-dive. Industrial oligarchs have won and the era of survival in a warm earth will be merciless and savage.
Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

I’ve been ruminating about this for a few months now. I would have never guessed that the right, led by uncharismatic oligarchs would end up winning the culture wars. After all, the left had media, higher education and the entertainment industry. It turns out social media was the wild card.
Having watched politics unfold on social media for a decade now, I can tell you one of the failures of the left has been relying on a handful of influencers(for lack of a better term) with a million followers instead of building an army of 100k of us to to do the heavy lifting.
