The point is that it is NOT the same basket as last year. It contains fewer products, and the products that it does contain run more heavily toward cheaper store brands. Ergo, last year's dinner is NOT cheaper this year and someone is lying about it.

I always add ten percentage points to account for arses, who won't admit they're wrong.

There is a certain percentage of folks who will NEVER admit that they were wrong. I mentally delete 15 percentage points from his approval rating for that reason. The rest are rich, rich wannabes, or just plain stupid.
