It’s made from locally mined commercial minerals (all mined here in North Carolina) and the clay I dig, which is very iron rich. With red iron oxide, black iron oxide and pyrite.

As I share here I’ll post about my process. So stay tuned! But it’s pretty simple, grab a bucket and shovel. Soak the clay/mix into a slurry then screen out rocks/debris/etc. let settle, skim off water and dry out to a workable consistency. I hang the clay in canvas bags or use trays lined w/ canvas
