Interesting idea but i disagree. Trump has one face. Greed. Of the two faces you identify, the latter is, at best, a cover for the former. But my view is that he isn’t a corporatist. He is following the Putin model of profiting from the privatisation of the state. Money is all that matters to him.

I think Trump would welcome the chaos a market plunge would create. His base is secure and chaos enables him to follow the Putin model of enriching himself through privatisation of state owned assets. Instability in Europe enables aligned parties there to gain power. Rinse and repeat.
