While it doesn't unsuck the economy. When it come to console gaming, if money is tight, check your local library. A lot of them let you check out games now days. One of the reason getting a console with a disk drive is so worth it. Also have a group of friends who mail game disks to each other.

On the controller when you test it, can you compare how loud the buttons are vs the PS5 duel sense. Want a controller were the stick that don't start drifting so bad but all the other controller I have tried are so loud, which is bad if I am playing something when other people are trying to sleep.

If your going to play zelda II, I recommend the fan pc remake or this patch for the nes version. I beat both last year, and they are excellent.

CachyOS looks like they are going to be installing by default soonish, both cachy-update and pacman-offline.

update is a a icon in your system tray and tells you when you got updates for pacman, aur, and flatpaks.

offline will update the kernel when restarting the pc not during normal updates.

Most distros have a wiki to use as a manual.
wiki.cachyos.org/cachyos_basi...
Any arch based distro should also bookmark the arch one.

Here is a some website to search for programs.

Distro - packages.cachyos.org
3rd party repo - aur.chaotic.cx/packages
Aur - aur.archlinux.org/packages?O=0...
Flatpak - flathub.org

If you want to automate updates install cachy-update, and you'll have a icon in your systemtray, and it will notifiy you if there are any updates available on pacman/aur/flatpak and install them when you tell it to. 7/7

If you can't find packages in those. You can try distro independent tools like flatpak. If you got pamac installed, it will pull in the needed flatpak packages. You can the usual managing thru CLI: flatpack or GUI: pamac (again disabled by default, turn on its setting window).6/7

While they try to keep it policed, it is a open repo, so take care who made the recipes. This should probably be your last choice with the next one coming before. 5/7

You can if needed to compile the program from source. The arch community makes recipes that simplify this. It is called the Arch User Repository. You can search install update remove, using CLI:paru or GUI:Pamac (disabled in the settings window by default). 4/7

This repo is run by some devs of another known arch distro called garuda, they take Aur recipes, give them a look over and build packages, so your less likely to need to use the AUR directly, which is next. 3/7

It's possible to add third party sources. On arch a popular one is aur.chaotic.cx . You just add them as another source and they just get added into pacman and pamac. 2/7

Sense I use arch/cachyOS, I will post its tools but it is similar idea on other OS.

The first level is thru the distros package manager of choice. It has a list of sources it search and downloads from. You can use CLI:pacman GUI:pamac to search for programs, install, update, and remove them. 1/7
