I used to see staggering murmurations in suburban Reading at the confluence of the Kennet and the Thames 25 years ago. No more sadly, the numbers have dropped so low I rarely see any now.

Not strictly true, the UK also has pre-existing conditions. Admittedly it is only used by insurance companies, such as travel insurance, to exclude those from cover. But it exists. And if facist farage gets his way then the UK will get US style medical insurance instead of the NHS.

All of them. From the sparrowhawks hunting on my local football (UK version) pitch. the hundreds of red kites I see each week, the wagtails, the redbreasts, European buzzards above the house, tits, jays. Each one enriches me.
Except the pigeons. TBH and sadly I really don't like pigeons. Sorry. 😌

I know someone who was involved in the Northern Bank investigation at the HIGHEST level. He has told me that in his view, and that of senior PSNI investigators, it was not a PIRA job. It was a former PIRA unit who were freelancing to get themselves a pension. Done without permission from PIRA.

They used to grow opium in my area, for the drug companies. Harvested a few pods and sow them every year. They look nice in my front garden 😌

True story, mate of mine inherited about £40,000 UK on his 21st birthday. Apparently could have bought a testarosa for that much at the time. Mum stopped him from doing it, said save it for something important later in life. When I met him 15 years later it would have been worth roughly £300,000

My cat is a wild animal, I give it a human name and he responds to it. Or more likely my voice tbh. Calls things what you want, call the redbreast in your garden Malcolm if you want. Who cares? Just respect all animals and protect the wild ones as best you can.
