Absolutely. A closed borders policy is as pointless as prohibition. Immigration won’t turn off like a faucet. If we were to create a system that incentivizes documentation and lawful entry, it would eliminate the “problem” of undocumented residents and allow enforcement to focus on actual criminals

I mean I didn’t vote for this. No offense, but I think you as a Canadian can’t understand how endemic these problems are here. Education is only one of myriad of issues that either depress turnout or mislead voters

You have to remember the US government has waged a war against public education since the Reagan administration. As a result most people here aren’t given the opportunity to develop the critical thinking skills to make political decisions that actually serve their best interests

You’re right to hold the DNC accountable for running terrible, out of touch campaigns that lost two of the most winnable elections in US history, but it’s also the okay to be frustrated with an electorate who forgot about this threat to democracy because eggs cost $8 for a few weeks
