Totally fine action-leaning Metroidvania game, but not what I was looking for from a new Metroid in particular so I don't fault it too hard. Didn't love the moment to moment level/world design, REALLY didn't love that EMMI sequences were cordoned off to just theme park haunted house zones.

Re-wiring the bathroom for an additional outlet to accommodate the Costco Toto (no deodorizer like you say) was the most heinously DINK-coded thing I ever did. Zero regrets. Could not stop thinking about it ever since I got back from Tokyo in 2016. The toilet has the power to be my friend now.

I don't see a huge difference in the desired outcome between "I wish Game Freak didn't make Pokemon games" and "I wish Game Freak had more than 18 months to develop a tentpole franchise game that makes an average of six hojillion dollars". These people are cool! They made Pulseman for God's sake!

I got after just a few tries after stumbling into what I think is an intended rhythm/approach and SAME. It looked and felt cool as hell and felt like the lights coming on in the club at 3AM when it ended.
