They’re not receiving enough training on risk factors & they’re not comfortable taking about suicide w/out sounding uber judgmental. E.g. once overheard dr say to patient: it’s not like you’re feeling suicidal so you can stay on these meds. Hard to convey tone here but they sounded almost shaming.
