I genuinely don't understand why people find the concept that triggers aren't inherently scary, but that they force someone with trauma/PTSD's brain to think it is re-experiencing the trauma and that that is why they are upsetting and hard to handle, to be hard to understand.

The second an autistic person describes a character as autistic coded NT rush to the comments to say "there is no way. this person is sarcastic, capable of understanding emotions" etc and they will fight tooth and nail to say there is no possible way a single detail of this character seems autistic

People who try to shut down any discussions about themes and ideas in media because "it's not real" are so annoying because we know it's not real. That doesn't mean the media has no effect on reality. Analyzing media we enjoy also keeps media literacy skills sharp, and it's an important skill
