Wore my BART sweater today, and I think this is why the transit gods blessed me. Took 2 BART rides and 2 MUNI rides, and never waited more than 2 min at any point, even without looking at the transit times on the way into SF! Truly a holiday miracle.

If you're ever driving through Western MD in the summer, my family's orchard, Pryor's Orchard, is nice to stop at. Another nearby orchard, Catoctin Mountain Orchard, is open year round and has amazing pies.

Little background: My cover photo is the view of the mountain range my paternal side of my family has lived in since 1780. Technically, my childhood home is in this photo, though you can't see it through the dense trees.

Sometimes, when I'm feeling depressed/anxious, I'll just ride some ferries around the Bay, and the other week, I decided to ride the ferry to Treasure Island for the first time. If you ever want to see more cormorants than you could ever imagine, this is apparently the place to go.

For some reason that link above doesn't always autoload the urgent pups but these two are a bonded elderly pair whose euthanasia date was 2 days ago but are still listed as available so hopefully they got an extension. Shar and Sugar need a home asap!
