The number 72 is incredibly misleading. Generally, we try to protect kids from roughly 18 diseases but many of these are already optional. Often these doses are combined into a single shot and some require boosters.

"Pre-existing condition" is a term borne from capitalism and American insurance models. Nearly everywhere else in the world it's simply known as your "medical history".

The thing is, it's definitely a thing. Preventative measures like this one can be taken but, *generally speaking*, because they've found something previously and are keeping an eye on it.

There actually is quite a large discussion to be had about price transparency in healthcare. In fact, it's been going on for a very long time. It's, in part, what @mcuban.bsky.social is doing with CPD. The other side of that argument within health systems is, of course, related to quality.

Well, this happens to be something I know a lot about and this guy is either completely ignorant or lying for some other agenda. AI has been a factor in medicine for years and some of the hottest companies in health tech are solely focused on leveraging AI within the health space in meaningful ways.

This really strikes a nerve. Parents aren't having as many babies because they can't afford to have the babies because every single GOP admin over the last 40 years has taught us the hard way to be fiscally responsible while they make it impossible to have as many babies.
