The Ukrainians handled this very well. This agreement is effectively a MOU to begin the negotiations. Maybe something plays out, maybe not. Considering what was demanded at the beginning, the Ukrainians turned this into a bargaining opportunity.

This is one of the dumbest things ever said. While the US can become a member of the Axis of Evil without Ukraine's involvement, Ukraine would have to be part of the negotiations on ending the war. (of course, unless Trump intends to force Russia out of Ukraine, which he is not going to do)

I agree. I have never been so ashamed of being an American as I am today. America is not perfect. No nation in the real world ever is. But I never thought I would see the day when we openly embraced becoming the "bad guys"

Europe better be getting ready NOW. If a bad ceasefire is implemented, it might just be just months before Russia is ready for the big war. Just because they are weak against a million man Ukrainian military, doesn't mean with the same mobilization as today that Russia can't launch a larger eu war
