I'm into Connecticut Highways, 日本語, progressive rock, and writing fiction. See more at https://kurumi.com.
From the 1967 SCRPA (Southeastern CT Regional Planning Association) Regional Development Plan: 4 new freeways proposed, including Route 117 (also marked as Route 12) from Griswold down to Bluff Point. The region is likely better off without them, but those ambitious plans are fun to dig through.

I'm trying to find out more about the "Jouyou Kanji Truck Program" here in the South Bay. It's a great idea for learning kanji and vocabulary. I've only seen 清 so far, but keeping an eye out for others :-)

Connecticut's oldest highways -- 8, 10, 12, 32 -- were born more than 100 years ago. US 1, 5, 6, and 7 are not far behind. But the state's shortest-lived signed route lasted only 10 days before being withdrawn. Story is here: kurumi.com/roads/ct/ct3...

Though Connecticut Route 128 hasn't changed much in 92 years, the state did consider a West Cornwall bypass in 1970. The town didn't like this, and both sides agreed to retrofit the covered bridge instead: www.kurumi.com/roads/ct/ct1...
