Miran was confirmed Monday, and sworn in Tuesday before the start of the FOMC mtg. It's customary for new arrivals to be sworn in by either the Fed chm or a sitting governor. But in a swipe to Powell, Miran elected to be sworn in by a Trump-appointed judge.
