Musician/Attorney. SF-based. Democrat. Mental health advocate. I travel a lot. Subscribe to my YouTube https://youtube.com/@therealjeffstein to see me do lots of fun one-man-band tribute covers. There’s a good chance I’ve covered your favorite band by now.
This is how it’s done. Thank you. Please give a Ted Talk to 95% of your fellow elected Democrats re: how to fight this effectively.

when I was a little boy, like 11-12 y/o, I saw Dennis Miller host the 1995 and 1996 Video Music Awards.

It was in that moment, not knowing the first thing about politics, that I learned conservatives are just congenitally not funny. Amazing that they still try.

Having just finished reading “League Of Denial”, Roger Goodell certainly knows a thing or two about successfully selling a massive fraud to the public.

I had to read this twice to confirm it wasn’t parody.

Love me some Rep. Clyburn, but, wow. ‘My life’? Tell me you’ve lost sight of the ‘public service’ aspect without telling me you’ve lost sight of the ‘public service’ aspect! 😳🤦🏻‍♀️

I get viscerally upset when I see stuff like this. People had a responsibility to know better, couldn’t be bothered, and now many of them are upset about it now that an authoritarian has taken over. Perfect timing 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you for being an actual principled leader unlike so many of your fellow Democratic colleagues lately.

This is the take. America was duly warned. Trump did not fall out of the sky and impose himself on us. It’s an epic self-inflicted fuckup for the ages that we might never recover from.

Would be really nice if the vast majority of our free-willed adult population actually paid attention and cared about facts and stuff.

This is my language/jam right here. Thank you and I salute you! 🫡
The bottom line is it doesn’t matter what Democrats say or how they message it.

When 2/3 of free-willed adults in America (R voters/non-voters) don’t care about their own governance being competent and working in their best interest, that’s not a Democratic Brand Problem, that’s a Societal Problem.

I’m always grateful anytime anyone wants to highlight the fact that Trump/Elon/GOP didn’t fall out of the sky and impose themselves on us. Our society of free-willed grown-ass adults did this. Twice.

And, yeah, and epic fuckup for the ages. *The* fuckup.

I just love this man, I can’t wait to vote for him, and I can’t wait for the do-nothings he’s calling out to be humiliated and lose their careers come primary season.

…Americans by and large do not turn on the news.

If there’s one thing my side consistently fails to understand, it’s just how little the average American pays attention to any of this. And that’s exactly the problem.

I just despise this woman. I forget who first described people like her as “Pick Me! Democrats” but she and Newsom would make one hell of a pathetic Pick Me! ticket.
April 24, 2025 at 9:45 PM
Everyone’s daily reminder that Trump and other Republicans wouldn’t say such preposterous things if they couldn’t count on tens of millions of free-willed grown-ass adults to go along with such preposterous things.

Used to know someone like this in NYC. They ‘bUt ThEy DiD gOoD tHiNgS tOo’-ed Cuomo and Bloomberg the same way. “Yeah they hurt a lot of vulnerable people, but they also did their job!” is a really strange way to endorse anyone for any job.
April 24, 2025 at 5:51 PM
I keep seeing strong language with zero follow-through.

“Ends now”…or else what? My brain has unfortunately been conditioned to react this way after a decade of noticing the most obvious of patterns.
April 22, 2025 at 10:29 PM
To the contrarians in my replies hitting on “was”, no, he was a good POTUS the whole time he was there. Mangling sentences isn’t as important as good policy and morals and getting legislation passed, and if Democrats had collectively approached with that understanding, we would’ve been better off.
April 22, 2025 at 6:40 PM
It’s a ridiculous premise that Democrats never should have engaged with in the first place.

“He was good at his job.” is as far as that answer needs to go, and it should’ve been the standard response all along.
April 22, 2025 at 6:14 PM
Isn’t it nice that these supposed public servants can feel good about themselves for being the bigger person…or something?

Improvement.

“I just wish we had, like, a down-the-middle centrist party.”

“We do. They’re called Democrats.”

“Yeah but, I just mean, like, you know, it’s like, I mean…”
