Revisited this great game. Rajas of the Ganges. I ignored my usual "strategy" of trying everything and exploring all the actions. I just went straight for rushing an end game by maximizing the two tracks. #boardgame #boardgames

Got a great engine going in Windmill Valley. Had my best score at 213 and only missed a full garden by 1 tulip. I may have finally figured this one out. #boardgame #boardgames

White Castle with Matcha. Very fun, but thinky. Can never get everything done. #boardgame #boardgames

Played a great game of Galactic Cruise. The game was great, I didn't do that well 😛 #boardgame #boardgames #galacticcruise

Nova Roma. Playtested some expansion ideas with designer Stan Kordonskiy. Base game is still great and the expansions are looking good. #boardgames #nova-roma

Big #boardgames weekend at Midwinter Gaming Convention. A few pics but played so many more!

The White Castle: super tight puzzle to get anything done. Only 9 turns to do it. This tiny box is packed with euro-goodness. #boardgames

SETI. Really enjoy this one. Multi use cards, efficiency puzzle, great theme.

Wondrous Creatures. Very fun mid-weight worker placement/card-playing game. Production was incredible and we didn't even have the upgrades. #boardgames

Phoenix: New Horizon. Really fun combos. Still no word on US distribution. If you can find it, grab it. #boardgames

Andromeda's Edge. Got another play of this great one. Love it. Love it. Love it. #boardgames

Castles of Burgundy. Still one of the best. The deluxe edition is such a quality of life improvement. #boardgames

Shackleton Base. I really liked this one. Lots of mechanisms going on: drafting, worker placement, area control, engine building. Not to mention 7 different corporations which combine 3 at a time, each with their own twist on the game. I give it a 7.5. #boardgame

Saltfjord. Reimplements Santa Maria as a Nordic Fishing theme. Dice drafting, tile laying, engine building. I played very poorly but still had a blast. This is a keeper. #boardgame

Darwin's Journey. One of the best, by one of the best. My first time playing any of the extra bits other than the base game. Still a banger. #boardgame

Galileo Galilei
It's lighter than you think, but also very tight. And it could be very punishing if you don't keep an eye on those inquisitors. Great theme and production. Tomáš Holek is having an incredible year with this and SETI (Tea Garden didn't wow me). Those two could make an entire career.

Phoenix: New Horizon
Very coo worker placement. Hard to get your hands on this right now, but when you get the chance, I highly recommend it. Several ended game goals available, but you must follow different paths to enable scoring each.

Endeavor: Deep Sea
Really love this one. Been playing it a lot lately. Been losing at it a lot lately.

Bone Wars. I enjoyed it. Not crazy about it. Iconography could use another pass to clear some things up. I did enjoy the theme.

Men-Nefer: a really interesting set of actions which tie into each other to keep you busy trying to do them all. Great production with a few head-scratching design choices. Overall it's a winner for me which will find a place in my collection.

This is a surprise hit for me. Played at 2, 3, and 4. All were good, but I think 4 makes it the most interesting so far. I want to get a few more plays in ASAP.

Board games. That's what I like. I will post about board games.
Unconscious Mind: it's fine. Great production, very interesting theme, so-so mechanics (mechanisms? where are we all on those terms?).
