around 16:43, its incorrect to say that SpaceX strives to 'compete' with NASA. SpaceX uses NASA as a customer to purchase their services, Elon Musk just wants to (wrongfully) sway more contracts in favor for SpaceX. It's like saying a store's biggest competitor is it's customers.

It’s not like America is completely defenseless during recess though…. We still have the biggest dick military in existence.

I am being serious, having recess allows congresspeople to do other stuff like fundraising or interacting with their district/state. For example, I recently did congressional nomination interviews for service academies and im sure that took up a lot of time from their staff.

That’s just the way their jobs work, they’re people too and need to take time off and fulfill their other duties.

It’s just unfortunate that the guy who runs it is crazy. Try not to think of SpaceX as Musk, but the collective endeavor of the brilliant engineers and workers that are employed there.

SpaceX is leagues ahead of the competition like Boeing/Blue Origin/Ariane and that is not because of unfair business practices, it’s because they are literally the best innovators on the market and have perfected a launch system better than the Soyuz line of rockets.
