Statistics are just numbers until you become one, ask me how i know.
It’s a shame really, Italy knows well the depth of dispari from SARS, but as a regular traveller there the only respies I see are on my family. Many genuinely believe the “no vax” line that it is just a flu.

500w power is actually quite a bit, my house uses around 550w at standby (when everyone is sleeping). That includes 2 fridges and a couple of computers (probably in sleep mode) & not to forget the fish tank ;).

At 500w you could almost be trickle charging your batteries.

It’s all free from the sun, a few hours after sunrise the solar starts and runs almost to sunset- we have east and west solar panels. Winter is not as good if course.

I was interested in the solar aware features, charge the car for free and cut greenhouse gasses from burning coal at the same time.

My power cost is constant so night charging was less important. We work from home and charging while the sun shines is logical for us.

I spent about $2k on a charger and install and it pays for itself in year 1.
It's a sunk cost for your first EV only.

Oh and i bought a battery operated tyre inflator machine ($40) so i never have to go to the service station for air.

Excess solar runs mine (mostly) and servicing is $330 every 15000kms
Rego and insurance about the same.

I'm way ahead over ICE costs ($2600 on fuel alone and $600 servicing)

It's not bad but i can taste the chlorine after coming back from overseas, thus i still use a filter. You don't notice it until you've been away.

Compared to SA water though it's pure like mineral water

It’s clear Covid lowers immunity- question is “how long for”. It could be for years and r for life. Just another reason to keep wearing N95s in public.

I get the feeling hydrogen has missed the boat, China has sunk costs into BEV in a big way, it’s difficult to unwind at this point.
November 13, 2025 at 7:48 AM
Looked at C-HR some years ago, but the rated economy was worse than the i30 we were already driving, like the shape but i'm glad we waited for a BEV instead.

Their direct operations in Aus ceased in 2021, Peugeot is still here but restructuring with Stellantis that is all over the shop, Citroen gone, competition was tough against traditional Jap/Kor ICE cars but Chinese electric cars that come so well appointed at a low price are blowing everyone away.

If you like his words, you should see him dance on stage!

It's like Riverdance but on mind bending drugs and without the charm.

Nice set!

Keep batting, i wore an N95 every day i was in the office and dealt with the comments with a straight reply such as "the first time was bad, i don't want it again" or "yes i'll wear it until a better vaccine comes alone or forever, whichever comes first".

Filled out a credit card application today- was happy to put $0 fuel costs. Ours runs on sunshine and the odd free council charge.

I get it, my disability is hidden, i look normal and can mostly move normally so get strange looks when i don't "do" normal things.

Oh that and because of the N95 respirator of course but i'm old enough not to GAF 😆

That’s pure gold, actually not gold!
