I honestly have no idea about stages to be honest. We got the diagnosis about 6 years ago. She is now dependant on me for most things. But we have never asked about where we are... It doesn't make a difference to us, but I do understand the desire to have something to hang the thing on.

From the other side of this(my wife has alzheimer's) , I have to say this incredibly brave and honest. There are many things that need doing while it's still possible, but this makes real sense, and I hope it will bring comfort to people in your life down the line.

Been composing something in my head, just need to get it out.

Currently half way through Dark Little Souls, and in that terrible conundrum of desperate to know how it plays out, but don't want to get to the end. Anyone reading this who hasn't tried them, please do. They're excellent reading.
