Hospitals in areas of my state, which were the only ones for miles, are being shut down, and the MAGA folks who voted for it aren't the ones being affected. You wish a lot more than just hurricanes when you say "they voted for it"

Because those are the people affected by it. The whole point I’ve been making is that the statement “they voted for it” is inaccurate when the groups affected most by these changes didn’t vote for it.

I'm not saying you should feel sorry for us, focus on what's going on in your area and make sure the people there are safe. But DON'T go and say to those who are fighting for their survival here already, "it's like war 🤷‍♂️". We need support from progressives, not shrugs and welps.

Queer people, bipoc people, and impoverished people all live here. Over half of the US's African American population lives in the South. Stop being non-chalant about civilian death because of the fucked up people who live here. (btw you sound like a Zionist saying "it's no different than war")

That's the irony to me. All the folks down here in SC taught me growing up that the Democrats want us to pay for everyone else's lives. I got older and found out it's actually THEM who pay for US to live our lives lmao

The sad part is that most of the people who voted for Trump in my area can actually afford health insurance and afford to go get medical care. They literally fucked over everyone else over an issue they don't even have to face.
