The image of frivolous women who've been "radicalised" (because they're too spoilt, passive and stupid to have their own politics) reminds me of how men spoke of feminists when I was growing up. Also of anti-suffragette propaganda. Laughable to be so sexist then call for a focus on "real issues"

Just been speaking on Times Radio about Gregg Wallace. I find it quite heartening that so many people are joining the dots re men who dismiss the complaints of older women who *can* speak out (and use it to suggest all other women don't mind and that these women are spoilt / prudish anyways)

And it's funny how, even though you can now watch almost any film any time, it still feels great to stick on the telly when one is being screened and feel that you're watching it in a crowd with other people on their sofas.
