Seems a little baity. Walk through London in a day and you'll see many people hawk gobs in public. Not a once have I ever seen someone fined for doing so. It's unfortunate that this man was nabbed...but really, slow news day?

On a scale of “deftly handled questions about consent" to “a strangely liminal Detroit” … this is “more effective than that one awkward high sex ed class”

I'm still stuck on the, what if ghost but STI line … but this is honestly a very good spooky movie

There's something super creepy about a monster that's just a person. Just a person acting just a little out of the ordinary. Smile gets it

On a scale of “the hellscape that 1990 thought 1997 would be” to “being too old for this shit” … this rates a “solid peak for both Bill Paxton and Danny Glover, in a movie that gets far more shade than it deserves”

On a scale of “a giant metaphorical semi-automatic firearm in the sky” to “a slightly unsettling not-quite-Naruto-run” … this rates an “actually effective use of doorbell cam footage in a movie”

The movie is also bloody brilliant. If you like a little horror with your mystery, you owe it to yourself to get this on your 2025 watchlist

How can you style Josh Brolin like the bog-standard “every-dude-in-a-smalltown” look, and he still comes out wearing that like “Rural Dad” is this season’s hottest look?

And now this has me terrified of any children running for no particular reason. Yes, I'm basically terrified of all children now
November 2, 2025 at 10:14 AM
On a scale of “a really shitty VHS filter” to “eerily accurate 90’s marketing” … this rates a “probably still better than New Coke”
November 2, 2025 at 10:08 AM
It’s everything you’d expect from both the best and the worst of the VHS series
November 2, 2025 at 10:08 AM
This reference is going to age like fine wine … but, you know when a Tim Robinson joke goes on for so long that it drags right through funny, into overdone, but then keeps trucking right back around into funny again? This VHS is like that, but the bits cut off too late and, also, too soon

I mean, it's a really cool feat of engineering and the creators should be proud! No doubt it'll work great on high end fashion and/or for low profile fastening. I question its longevity in work or outdoor gear...

So, my old fashioned zipper's most common point of failure is the tape, which takes the brunt of daily wear and tear. Many tailors can fix this. The futuristic zipper makes the garment's fabric, itself, the likely point of failure; which is a more difficult repair and requires special tools

On a scale of “a lawnmower that's totally NOT going to be important later, *wink” to “the amount of therapy everyone in these films is gonna need” … this rates a “ah shit, the lawnmower did the thing! It totally did the thing! Called it!”
