Epilogue Draft for the story of Thomas Edwards

TW for mentions of abuse, murders, & assault
Born during the bustling Industrial Revolution, Thomas J. Edwards came into the world as the youngest child of a humble, working-class family. His father, James Edwards, had three children: Harrison, Willow, and Thomas. Thomas’s mother, however, was different from his siblings’; while they were born to a woman named Maddison Kingston—who abandoned the family shortly after their births—Thomas was the son of Ophelia, a seraph. Ophelia eventually married James, allowing young Thomas glimpses into heavenly realms. From an early age, she guided him through divine realms, where he encountered celestial figures like Saint Peter and Archangel Gabriel. Thomas would go down in heaven’s history as the first human born of a seraph and the first mortal to visit heaven while alive. Thomas’s older siblings had a profound influence on his upbringing. Harrison taught him the art of self-defense, while Willow instilled kindness and a warm approach to others. But Ophelia’s presence in Thomas’s life gradually diminished due to her obligations to exterminations in hell. At just eleven, Thomas faced a devastating loss when he discovered his father’s lifeless body—dead from a heart attack. This tragedy forced Harrison to take on the responsibility of caring for the family, but only for two years until he was killed at age 26 in a mugging by a notorious mob. After that, Thomas’s only support was Willow, who looked after him for the next seven years. Tragically, when Thomas was twenty, he returned home one day to find men fleeing on horseback and his beloved sister dead—shot after hours of torture.
