She was born in 1988 in a laboratory on Isla Sorna, the first of her kind to walk on this planet in 65 million years. They didn’t know it then but she was a social animal, doomed to a life of isolation. She’s never seen another dinosaur before, has no parents to teach her how to be a T. Rex, she’s designed for a subtropical environment, not the constant downpour that she suffers through on Isla Nublar. She’s five when the doomed tour comes to the island, she’s spent her entire life in a cage being fed goats chained in place. There’s no enrichment provided and she’s too large for anyone to dare attempt it. Her boredom rears its ugly head as soon as the power goes down, she can hear the fence no longer buzzing and those cars look so fun to chase. It’s less fun when the raptor pack attacks her, but she prevails and lives free for twelve glorious years. And then she’s caught again. She’s put in a new cage. She’s given the same goats. She’s all alone. The only time she ever sees another animal like her, it’s when Claire lets her out to fight the Indominus Rex. She almost dies, but she’s free again. She’s free until her home starts dying, the island shaking under the power of the volcano. It’s while fleeing that volcano that she is tranquilized and stolen away from the only home she has ever known. She is thirty years old, at the end of her lifespan, and yet, once she escapes from Lockwood manor, she manages another three years in the wild until she’s caught and brought to Biosyn. There are still no other Tyrannosaurs, but there is an even bigger predator that threatens her life on the first day she’s there. She ends up fighting with it, and almost dies again. She’s old. This world isn’t meant for her. The atmosphere is all wrong, especially now that she is no longer on her island. But finally, finally she meets other Tyrannosaurs. For the first time in her life, she’s not alone.
