While buses are immensely useful in providing and expanding transit access in our cities, they do have limitations that rail services do not contend with. Such as in icy, inclement weather conditions as this morning.

When discussing transit line extensions, it’s on a corridor-by-corridor basis. Whats often overlooked is how the new service expands and connects the network, similar to how freeways form a web of roads. Below are maps comparing select US cities’ transit and freeway networks. 🧵 1/4
