Queens Park have undoubtedly been the team of the tournament after their giant killing in the 5th Round. However their run in the Scottish Cup came to an abrupt end when they were defeated by Aberdeen at the quarter final stage. The Spiders began their fabulous run in the 3rd round against fellow championship outfit Partick Thistle. After a 2-2 draw the sides couldn't be separated in extra time but it was Queens park who came out with the victory 7-6 in the penalty shootout.
