63rd book read this year; strong 2nd entry in the trilogy, some nice character development and a twist ag the end i definitely did not expect

62nd book read this year; oh my days, I loved this so much, cosy does not it justice. The characters are gorgeously comfy (especially Thimble) and I'm so looking forward to starting the next one

Book 61 read in 2025; perfect end to the Discworld-esque D&D romp, lots of laughs and tears and surprises. Fantasy done right ✅️

Friday night #DnD was a blast, if somewhat triggering from my former slave Bard, but we pulled together, won the day and yay we levelled up

Re the outfit; Captain Pike would totally be down to D&D

60th book read this year; this one's been keeping me entertained at work, for the start of a trilogy it hit the ground running so looking forward to seeing where the next books go

Book 59 finished for this year; Trek books well written are such an easy read for me and this one ticks all the boxes, Mack gets the characters and, where this book falls in continuity, succeeds in addressing issues the show itself really should have at least touched on

I like to think that Patrick Stewart would approve

That's a wrap on "Scare Tactics"; the Party met some spooks, including the Ghosts of 2 deceased characters, stopped a mad Necromancer forming a ghost army and, importantly, the DM (me) didn't overheat in his Picardigan (purists; I know the badge is wrong, but my TNG badge is MIA)

I don't think any of us expected otherwise, to be fair

58th book read in 2025; pirates in space, but D&D... has me written all over it as far as a premise goes and the book delivered, set up for more to come which I really hope happens... because I had one issue, not enough giant hamster action
October 26, 2025 at 12:07 AM

Book 57 of the year read; brilliant follow-up to "Orconomics", more of the Discworld coded D&D vibes, against a darker background drop still works and there are some brilliant little "if you know, you know" nods
October 20, 2025 at 9:13 AM
the First Contact/DS9 uniforms for me... although, as far as unique uniforms, I'm a sucker for the Picardigan
