Freelance writer, designer and musician, and the original Pop!, a studio "band" that did 'Tingly' with Frente's Angie Hart in '95, and more recently 'Waiting'.
All I wanted was a Forza Horizon 6 trailer. Was that too much to ask for? Pout!

Just FYI, it's Bandcamp Friday right now, meaning that anything you pay for somebody's music - including shiny new Pop! single 'Different' - goes to the muso, without a huge cut being taken by the Bandcamp people. This has been a community service announcement. 🤗

Well, my music may not have gone - and most likely never will go - big, but a classic PlayStation memory of mine certainly has! Happy 30th in Australia, PlayStation. 🎮

My new Pop! single 'Hey Yo!' is now available on Bandcamp (pay what you want, even $0 if you wish) and should be chugging its way onto streaming services, too - linktr.ee/popau
Please, give it a spin?

So, my LG OLED that I now used to love has let me down - zero power. And only three years old... Now it's like I'm playing in PIP, but at least I had a spare monitor lurking about waiting for its big chance. ;)

All sorts of fun Britpop (and other) reimaginings on the channel, too.

If not for this Fisher & Paykel washing machine ad from 1993/1994, 'Tingly' would not exist. I'm so delighted that I found it again - it wasn't the tune itself, but it did provide the inspiration for me to write a piece of '60s-inspired girlie pop... 'Tingly'!

A happy 30th birthday to 'Tingly'!
The little song that fought the odds and made it out into the world on October 9, 1995.
To celebrate, download a free original instrumental demo, slapped onto MiniDisc the day that I first wrote the music back in 1994. An interesting curio. :)

A friendly reminder that there are still some copies of the fab 'The Waiting E.P.' available from Sound As Ever's Bandcamp. Not only do you get Angie and my recent(ish) single 'Waiting', but you also get a newly remastered version of the song that its story follows up on, 'Tingly'.

And the word for 2025 is "alleged". You can have vision of a crime being committed and the person committing it, yet it's still somehow alleged? FFS!

I've just finished 'No Secrets' by Graham "Buzz" Bidstrup - a cracking read. Just really sad seeing so, so many "(RIP)" throughout.

An environmental tragedy of epic proportions is playing out on the streets of Oakleigh, as myriad elderly mattresses beach themselves helplessly on nature strips thoughout the suburb... Is there no end to this senseless waste?
Oh there is, the annual council hard waste pickup. Phew! ;)

Taking a break from yabbering on about my solo and Pop! music stuff just for a second - there are only so many times that I can beg you to listen - I had to share this... I can now play 'Tetris' on a chicken nugget! ;D

You may know this by now, but I'll say it again because you have to be dogged to get anywhere nowadays. I have a new song called 'Love Blue Skies' out, which you can even get it in Japanese flavour, as 'Aozora'. Please, give it a listen? You may even like it! linktr.ee/amyflower321

The "safe place" in question was in the foyer of a massive block of flats, the door of which is unlocked throughout the day, and within full view of passing pedestrian traffic. No attempt was made to ring the doorbell.
Keep being you, Aramex. Sigh.

In a move that some may feel is rather ironic, I note that Double J/Triple J have overlooked several Aussies from their 'The 50 most overlooked songs of the 90s', let alone many Aussie acts that actually made the Hottest 100 over the years.
And yes, that includes Angie Hart and my 'Tingly'. Pout.

There's one track on triple j Unearthed that SEVEN jjj people have reviewed. Yet they completely ignore others....
