Not me hyperfixated on this now...I love/hate my brain and the way I decide one day just to make things.

I wish more people knew that they can actually improve their speaking skills in other languages without having to binge study vocabulary or practice for 2+ hours every day.

When you try to speak in other languages that you've been studying, but the words just don't come to mind, the problem usually isn't vocabulary, it's recall.

(And sentence building skills 😅)

So, how do YOU say 'unfortunately' in Spanish? I wanna see something 😅

Me whenever possible >> write down definitions IN the language I'm focused on rather than in English.

(Or even in other languages I know if I don't feel ready yet)

This helps me to translate less in my head

Getting the final touches ready for my pop up group. Scheduled some posts. Still need to make the fun badge I want to give out to people who finish the Action Week.

Just have to send an email to everyone that has either or both of my motivation and confidence workshops.

She said, "Even though I'm alone, I'm not lonely" and they translated that to "I don't need any of them" and I'm dying

Final day to join the workshop where I'll help you REMIX those listening practice strategies that don't work for you so you can finally make progress!

This is for the people who are tired of hearing "just listen more" 🫠

I feel like I'm doing the same things with my listening even with a full LIST of strategies.

Think I'm gonna play around with some immersion++ for Italian, Russian, and a few others & see how that goes over the next couple of weeks. I'm tired of being bored & I need to practice what I preach 😅

I just updated my free guide on creating a your own Polyglot Study Routine, like complete overhaul, and I'm very proud of it 🥰

If I'm not able to watch at 2x with text on screen (slides, not subtitles) my brain takes a vacation.

It's why I always have slides and have speed adjustment available on my workshops. Auditory learning is my weakest, so I see you 😅

If you always have a million questions about your language studies but struggle to find answers for YOU, I got you!

Yes, you can watch my videos or read my blog posts and piece it together for sure.

If you're expecting me to shame you for not studying today, you're following the wrong account.

Because there is absolutely NO WAY you're going to make progress if you don't have a repeatable, reliable routine/process.

And shame doesn't make that happen. It just makes you quit faster.

The thing that they don't tell you about learning multiple languages is that you can look at a regular ole word and question your very existence about how to pronounce it when you've been saying it for decades.

Like "are" or "miles"

When people grab their tickets for my next MIMS workshop before it's even publicly available 🤩

I'm gathering everyone's takes on listening practice rn so I can make sure the content actually matches what attendees are using in their own language studies~

Listening to resources from my comprehensible input list and here's what I think about before I even press play:

1. Figure out my session goal
2. Choose/Remix a strategy that matches that

Because listening isn't just "listening". There are layers to it. Lemme break it down for you!

"What is the best podcast/channel for improving listening?"

...Is the wrong question.

Immersion has it's place, absolutely. But immersion alone, "just listening" to content, isn't going to help you ACTUALLY understand native speakers without a strategy to back it up.
