I am so far left I make Elizabeth Warren look like Barry Goldwater.

DM me if you have something to say.
Don't if you think this is a free dating site.
In the past, protection rackets were proposed & enforced in secret.

No longer.

"Nice little company you got here, NVidia. It'd be a shame if something happened to it, like you can't sell to China due to security concerns. But for 25% of profits, we'll let you. Let us worry about the constitution."

Ever offer a toddler, one who is just learning what money can do, the choice between "a shiny new quarter, or this crumbled old dollar" just to see what he picks?

That's trump in one sentence.

Paramount is challenging Netflix in acquiring Warner Brothers Discovery.
- Paramount is now controlled by MAGAt money.
- trump says he'll be "involved" in assessing the deal.

Any bets on who'll own WB next year? Personally, I don't think Netflix can match any Ellison bribe.

WaPo reports that the SCOTUS seems to favour allowing the prez to fire heads of independent federal agencies.

This means, the only private discussion they still need to have is, if we ever allow a Democrat to win the presidency, how do we take it back?

When is a journalist, foreign head of state, cabinet member, or any elected official going to tell Trump to his face that the emperor has no clothes?

One might be followed by an avalanche.

Republicans have a new prime directive: Defend the indefensible.

That's it.
December 6, 2025 at 11:06 PM
In a perfect world, once trump is out of office (in prison, dead, something), all of the people he pardoned will be back in prison* for "bribing a government official". That's still a crime, right?

*exclude the J6 thugs. Sticking your nose up the president's butt is not yet a crime.
December 4, 2025 at 2:30 PM
trump has decided to pardon former Dem rep Henry Cuellar. Cuellar must be using his money laundering and bribery skills to give to trump, rather than take for himself.

So it's all good, right?

Bad guy: possible low-level drug mules off the Venezuelan coast. Kill them all!

Good guy: former president of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández, who flooded the US with drugs. Pardon him! (in exchange for a hefty bribe)
December 2, 2025 at 1:23 AM
trump SAYS he's trying to stop illegal drugs yet he pardoned former Honduras president and drug lord Juan Orlando Hernández, who is probably more responsible for flooding the US with drugs than anyone else on earth.

Any guess as to how much the bribe was that he paid to trump? I'm guessing US$10B

A great example of what's wrong w/the USA.

One guy suggested the poverty level should be $140k. Some think that's wrong. Did they offer reasons TO THE AUTHOR why his reasoning is flawed? He might rethink some of essay, or defend what he wrote.

Arguing is not communicating.
An investor called $140,000 the new poverty line. Experts disagreed but said he had a point.
Michael Green’s tally of the costs of raising a family in the U.S. today is going viral, even if some economists scoff at his math.

If trump/repugs were serious about crime, they'd be deporting convicted criminals to foreign countries, and leave the day and restaurant workers alone.
November 30, 2025 at 4:27 PM
Does anyone think that Hegseth's "kill them all" is NOT an admission that he wanted to leave no witnesses to his illegal slaughter of foreign fishermen?
November 30, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Here's how the Mamdani and trump meeting played out:

trump: NYC isn't getting a cent in federal money.

Mamdani: I understand. How big a kickback do you need? Is 10% enough?

And the rest of the meeting was haggling over percentage.
November 24, 2025 at 2:24 PM
No matter what you think of president trump, you have to admit that he knows US constitutional law. I mean, it's astounding, the percentage of SCOTUS decisions that have gone his way.

The only other explanation is, of course, the obvious one, the one everybody knows.

Quitter Greene is resigning from Congress, effective two days after her five year mark.

I'm sure she didn't realise that by doing so, she receives a lifelong pension and health care.

From a WaPo article on why homicides are down:
"There is no one reason or no silver bullet for what makes crime go up [or] down," said Insha Rahman of the Vera Institute of Justice. "Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying."

Of course, it's down due to trumps amazing leadership.
Oh wait. I'm lying.

I like the new, improved ten-most-wanted-list. The other nine are still on a single sheet of paper in the post office, I suppose.
November 21, 2025 at 1:34 PM
Is there some court that can:
1. ask trump about each of the pardons he's issued
2. if he says he doesn't know them, or their case, cancel the pardon

???

My guess is, the best he can do is say, "I don't know him but he gave me money". For any of the 1,600 people.
November 20, 2025 at 5:07 PM
I hope every time trump, or one of his supporters, or a congressidiot who voted for his budget, or any random MAGAt opens his or her mouth, they are greeted with a loud chorus of "QUIET PIGGY!"
November 20, 2025 at 4:45 PM
Yay to the feds releasing the Epstein files. I'm glad they have their priorities straight.

I guess I just missed the votes on extending the ACA subsidies. How did that go?
November 20, 2025 at 3:38 PM
The DoJ should investigate Dems on the Epstein list. Start with the highest profile one. You know... the good friend who changed from Dem to republican in 2001.
November 19, 2025 at 2:40 PM
trump must be making a fortune from Saudi Arabia. How else can anyone explain his rolling out the red carpet for crown prince mohammed bin salman, and apologising for his green lighting the brutal murder of an American journalist? And this is without even knowing if the journalist is a Democrat?
November 19, 2025 at 2:35 PM
I understand and completely agree with trump telling the DoJ to go after Dems named in the Epstein files and not the repugs.

We know all of the repugs so named are pedophiles and probable rapists. Let's exonerate the named Dems, throw the named repugs in the clink and move on.

WH admits the October jobs reports and inflation are the worst ever.
Well, they actually said they "never collected" the data, but, really, isn't that the same thing with this administration?
