New video in our series about the sources behind our next game, Ithaca: "What do your heroes say about you?"
It's about "The Monkey Wrench Gang" (Edward Abbey, 1975), its influence, and what it means for environmental activism.

Little calculus exercise.
Expedition 33 takes at least 30 hours to beat.
It's estimated that roughly 20% of a game's owners finish it. Let's say another 30% see halfway through it.
Expedition 33 sold 4M copies. That's (4*0.2*30)+(4*0.3*15)= 42 millions hours of game played (conservative estimate).

OK, for a thing I'm working on I've been thinking a lot about this question recently.

**Why keep making video games in a world on fire?**

If that’s been on your mind too, and you’re open to talking about it, please feel free to reach out - either here or at florent@thepixelhunt.com

Next month, for #ThePowerOfPlay in Pesaro, Italy, Florent will take part in a discussion on how video games can be powerful tools for raising awareness and promoting empathy on human rights issues, stimulating reflection and action. Here's the full program: thepowerofplay.it/programma/

"In a way, it feels like a precision strike on kids from typical East Asian households."

Getting that kind of reviews for The Wreck leads me to believe the writing for this game works well (spoiler: my sister Coralie and I, the game's authors, grew up in France).

Setting up one of those took 6 months. Wanted another pattern? You had to take it all apart and start again from scratch.

Thanks for the heads-up, @gitlab.com ! I have a question, though: lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit?

So, @wednesdays-game.bsky.social now has >100 reviews on Steam... All positive.
Also worth noting we're barely over 800 units sold, which means there's 1 review for every 8 player - that's more around 1 for 40 usually.
All this to say if you think Wednesdays isn't a game for you... Maybe it is!

I mean, Orca can sometimes be a bit on edge, true, but they'd use a stick over a knuckleduster any day of the week - Wednesday included.
